You Are Invited to The Georgia Springs Retreat
“Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” ~ Mark 6:31
The disciples were in a busy ministry season. They were meeting the needs of the people while proclaiming the good news about the kingdom of God. While the disciples were sharing with Jesus all they experienced, the conversation was constantly interrupted by people seeking more from them. The needs never seemed to end. It was then that Jesus extended the invitation to his disciples to come away with him. The offer was not for them alone, but for all his followers.
Like most people who love and serve the Lord, you can think of a myriad of reasons why you can’t get away with Jesus right now, as much as you would like nothing more. We get it. Life demands more than we can possibly deliver—ever. Carving out time and laying aside your responsibilities to have quality time alone with Jesus is the remedy to spiritual dryness and burnout.
For 25+ years, The Springs Retreats have provided time for women to experience much needed solitude with Christ. It is a safe space for you to step away from all of your activity and concerns, in order to restore peace to your soul.
Who will benefit from The Springs Retreat?
The Springs Retreat is intended for women who love and serve Jesus. This includes pastors’ wives, women’s ministry directors, Bible study teachers, and laywomen. It is not the title that matters, but that you are playing a role in God’s kingdom.
What will you do at The Springs Retreat?
The Springs Retreat weaves times of solitude with group interactions. The entire group gathers to discuss ways to reflect on our lives and the Word, and small groups meet for meals and prayer. Worshipful chapel services with short devotional thoughts and songs of praise usher in periods of silence. The hours alone are spent however you choose to draw near to the heart of God. The grounds of the retreat center provide a beautiful backdrop for contemplation with walking trails, multiple sitting areas, and a lazy river. Resting in the Lord continues as you sleep in your private bedroom.
What can you expect at The Springs Retreat?
The retreat center is in a beautiful setting with plenty of room to spread out for solitude. The simple rooms have the basic essentials, but an extra towel and blanket or your own pillow will help you settle in more comfortably. The luxury of the room is having it all to yourself!
What is the result of being at The Springs Retreat?
Regardless of what season of life you are in, you will leave The Springs Retreat watered by the Lord to overflowing and ready resume your relationships and responsibilities.
Isaiah 58:11
The Lord will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.

Meet The Georgia Springs Team
Patricia Arps
Patricia and her husband, Eric, reside in Georgia. They have three grown daughters. A graduate of the University of Dayton with a degree in computer science and an MBA from the University of Santa Clara, Patricia stepped away from work to raise and homeschool her girls. During these past years, her gifts have been used in numerous areas of volunteering. This includes volunteering at homeschool hybrid programs, tutoring, coaching basketball, working in her church’s Sunday school preschool and leading the First Impressions ministry at her church. She loves working out, walking and visiting big cities such as New York, Boston, Chicago, Seattle and San Francisco. “After 25 years of homeschooling, my hope for this year is to find my next calling. And, of course, to travel!”
Traci Martin
Traci and her husband Bil reside in Georgia, have two married daughters and two sweet granddaughters. Traci loves EVERYTHING tea, traveling, hiking, biking, spa days and spending time with family and good friends. She is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary with a Masters in Christian Leadership. Following a decade in corporate America and 25 years as a business owner, she followed God’s calling into full-time ministry. From 2012-2021, Traci went from working part-time for a Bible study ministry to being the president. Through all of her experiences, she saw the need of support for Christian women, especially those serving God. Having a desire to help address this need led to her involvement with NEWIM.
Cathy Seo
Cathy and her husband Toshio reside in Georgia. They have two married daughters and several precious grandlittles, and another one on the way. She loves to unwind by walking. A physical therapist who works with seniors, Cathy has also served in various food banks and soup kitchens, missions committees, led moms in her local Touch group, Samaritan Purse shoe box drives, annual clothing drives and has participated in a mentoring ministry. As you can see, Cathy’s heart is truly for serving others!
Cindy Switzer
Cindy and her husband Cliff live in Georgia, have 3 married children and 5 hilarious grandlittles. Having grown up in Nebraska, Cindy visits her home state as much as possible! She enjoys reading, exercising, connecting with friends and traveling. Much of her ministry experience has been behind the scenes. From directing a fine arts program for homeschoolers to working with middle/high schoolers in using the arts for ministry, her love has always been participating in programs that incorporate the arts into learning. She truly loves people and strives to love them where they’re at, with a passion for coming alongside others and serving in whatever capacity needed.
